At first glance you can tell: our youth mountain bike JA.01 is something special.
And this is certainly due to the sharply sloping top tube. This SLOPE frame not only looks extremely sporty – it also has an important function: kids can switch to the next bike size even earlier. Because due to the low top tube they stand significantly higher over the tube when dismounting from the saddle – e.g., at a traffic light – than with other frame designs.
When you take a closer look at the bike you quickly find the second reason for the perfect look of the bike:
You don't see any weld seams. These are magically removed in a very elaborate and precision-demanding process. We often observe experts gently stroking or tapping the frame with their hand because they think it is a carbon frame.
The angular, flat top tube also “smells” like a carbon frame…
And contributing to the clean look of the frame is also the fact that we integrated the cables inside the frame.
With the same care we produced this frame we also selected the components to already give juniors a true mountain bike feeling off the streets:
- The Altus derailleur from SHIMANO with 8 speeds.
- The Shimano Rapidfire Plus shifter that allows "child's play" and precise shifting.
- The light Suntour suspension fork with adjustable preload.
- The tires with a width of 2.1" (54 mm) are genuine mountain bike tires.
Due to the frame geometry the JA.01 is suitable from an inseam length of 68 cm so possibly from 10 years old or a height of 145 cm. But please measure your junior's inseam exactly.
