Battery Disposal Information
Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.
As an end user, you are legally obliged to dispose of used batteries properly. After use, you can return batteries free of charge to the point of sale or to a collection point near you, such as municipal collection points or retail stores. You may also return used batteries to us by post with sufficient postage. Our take-back obligation is limited to used batteries of the type that we currently carry or have previously carried as new batteries in our product range, and to quantities typically disposed of by end users.
Batteries or rechargeable batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out waste bin. This means that they must not be disposed of with household waste. If certain limit values are exceeded, the chemical symbol of the harmful substance appears near the waste bin symbol:
“Cd” means: contains more than 0.002 percent by mass of cadmium
“Pb” means: contains more than 0.004 percent by mass of lead
“Hg” means: contains more than 0.0005 percent by mass of mercury.
